I got a Christmas card in the mail yesterday and as I read and reread the card, I was reminded how my mother would enjoy her Christmas Cards so much. I would like to make a statement. If you ever sent my mother any card, birthday, special occasion, or just because, rest assured..she enjoyed them thoroughly. If fact she would read, and reread them for years. I would go over and she would say, look at this card, Norma, isn't that the prettiest blessing written in it. It would some times be a card she had received several months previous. After my mother died she had a dresser full of greeting cards from down thru time. I wish I had kept some of them to reread. She enjoyed them so much.
BTW Sisters, I am sorry if reading this might make you cry, just wanted to say it
I lived with Mother until I got married, and everything Norma wrote is true. I saw it with my own eyes. :)
ReplyDeleteMom also sent out many cards. I have quite a stack that I can't part with just yet.
ReplyDeleteI remember when i led a prayer group and part of our calling was to mail out cards. We sent Mom one pretty often. She told me once she was having a very bad day and she took the card we had sent her and laid it on her chest and asked the Lord to let all the prayers we had prayed strengthen her. We did have a cry fest when I told my prayer partners about this.
I appreciate so much your comment Jennifer and Glenda. Sometimes it makes mom feel so near just remembering a special memory
ReplyDeleteI Too remember how mother loved her cards. I have a card Mom sent me put away that I get out and read ever so often. I have REALLY been missing mom and dad this holiday season. I wonder sometimes if things would be going differently if Mom was still here to lay hands on sonme things. I know God is the one who did the miracles but somehow things just came together better when she was the one who prayed.
ReplyDeleteamen...Zita. I think of all the things that have happened in our lives that I would love to talk over with mother and dad
ReplyDeleteI had fun today. I hope you didn't overdo.
ReplyDeleteI miss Mom and Dad more every year. I was telling Perry although Mom was not a big fan at Christmas ...Dad loved it and I miss his excitement of us all being together...
ReplyDeleteYes, I would love to talk to them too....I know they are in a better place..saying that, thinking it..knowing it..is the only way I can stand them being gone.
Norma I looked at the pics using Bethany's face book and then I also downloaded the CD. There are some good pictures. The pics of us sister were good this year. Thanks for the CD.
ReplyDeleteI want to take every opportunity to speak health to your home. In Jesus name, I speak health and financial blessings upon Norma, Wesley and their family! Thank you, Father for the answer! Peace! Amen.
ReplyDeleteI love you!
